Lake lochnagar is an amazing alpine lake near Queenstown. It looks like a jewel on the top of the crown, especially when you see it from the air. It has an isolated, mysterious, and out of this world feeling. The blue crystal water is surreal.

It’s also one of the most sheltered alpine lakes so is usually warm & cosy.

Lake lochnagar and Tyndall Glacier is a popular dual-landing combo as they are just a few minutes flight away.
